Ayiti We See
(Ages 6-8)
One of Ana’s biggest dreams is to visit Ayiti—her family’s homeland. When Granmè Marie arrives from Ayiti, Ana soon finds herself curious. Why does Granmè sit on the back porch and close her eyes every day? Why does she have a big smile on her face?
Through the power of imagination, join Ana and Granmè on a magical journey as they travel through the beautiful land of Ayiti. Visit the Iron Market with Granmè and dance to Konpa music in the colorful streets with Ana as she learns that Ayiti is closer than she thinks.
In June 2023, I was chosen as part of the first Miami cohort for the NABU Creative Fellowship program. I’m proud to create bilingual books that encourage children’s growth and imagination by fusing my Haitian roots with storytelling.
NABU is a nonprofit organization with a powerful mission to eradicate illiteracy. By providing free access to books in a child’s native language, they hope to accelerate literacy and promote childhood development.
It’s an honor working on these beautiful books which you can find through the NABU app on Apple and Google Play. Below are my titles.
